The subdelegate of the Government in Ourense, Eladio Santos, encouraged the young people of the province of Ourense who turn 18 in 2025 to benefit from the Young Cultural Bonus of the Ministry of Culture. He did so this morning on a visit to one of the establishments affiliated to the program, the Eixo Bookstore.
Eladio Santos reaffirmed the Spanish Government’s commitment to access to culture. "This bonus, which is in its fourth edition, has a double objective: on the one hand, to awaken the interest and active participation of young people in cultural life, and on the other, to support the cultural fabric, which demonstrated its value so much in recent years," he said.
With respect, he explained that this year around 2,000 young people from the province of Ourense will be able to benefit from the program. The Young Cultural Bonus consists of a prepaid card of 400 euros to spend on different cultural goods and activities, such as books, cinema, theater, music, video games or digital content, among others. Throughout Spain, 534,526 young people can benefit this year.
To apply for the bonus, explained Santos, you only have to register on the website bonoculturaljoven.gob.es before October 31 . To do this, it is necessary to have a means of digital identification: Digital Certificate or the Cl@ve. "It's a simple process, but it's important to do it within the deadline so we don't get left out," he said. For one year from the date of the concession they will be able to make use of the voucher in the establishments adhered, 3,700 throughout Spain.

The Government’s Young Cultural Bond is divided into three tranches, to promote access to various cultural expressions. Specifically, they are:
- 200 € for living arts, cultural heritage and audiovisuals
- 100 € for cultural products in physical support such as books, magazines, press, video games, disks, among others
- 100€ for digital consumptions such as subscriptions to music platforms, audiobooks, digital press, online video games, download podcasts, among others.
Program Electives Affinities
On the other hand, the subdelegate of the Government congratulated the head of the Eixo Bookstore, Javier Ibáñez, for the success of his participation in the Elective Affinities program of the Ministry of Culture. On June 26, the space hosted a dialogue between the creators Mario Obrero and Alba Cid, in which the neighbors of the city were able to know their perspectives on poetry.
