The deputy delegate of the Government in A Coruña, María Rivas, presided today a minute of silence in a sign of condemnation for the machista murders of two women, in Almería and Asturias.
The Delegation against Gender Violence confirmed the crimes, bringing the number of women killed by gender violence to 22 in 2025 and to 1,316 since 2003.
María Rivas called for institutional and social unity in the firm condemnation of male violence and stressed the importance of collective support for the victims’ families and friends.
The Government of Spain recalls that there are accessible and permanent remedies for situations of male violence.
