The government delegate in Galicia, Pedro Blanco, highlighted in Santiago the record investment of the Government of Spain in Galicia, allocating this year more than 10.8 billion euros to the reinforcement of regional and municipal public services through on-account deliveries. Pedro Blanco participated in the closing of the Ordinary National Congress of UGT-Public Services, held in the Galician capital, where he claimed these figures.
In this regard, he stressed the vanguard represented by the Government of Spain in the defense of the public sector, “since in these seven years Galicia received 18,295 M€ more than in the previous seven for the strengthening of public services of the Community and municipalities, which means an increase in investment by 40%.” The delegate pointed out that to be prepared for the challenges of the future, to have an efficient and modern administration, you have to have means, “and in that the Government is 100% committed, also demonstrating it with facts.”
Pedro Blanco highlighted the work of the Government to take action to improve the living conditions of the citizens, embodied in this impulse to the public sector, “which benefits us all, for the common good of the whole society.” But it also focused on the legislative work of the Government, which advances “reducing working hours, increasing wages and modernizing the public sector.”
The delegate congratulated Irene Martínez for revalidating the general secretariat of UGT-Public Services in Galicia, as well as the entire organization for the realization of the congress. He reminded him of the Government’s action not only for his sector, but also conveyed to him the commitment to improving the living conditions of workers, “as he has been doing since his first day”.
