The government delegate in Galicia, Pedro Blanco, will participate this afternoon in the act of reception to the Galician authorities organized by the Consular Body in Vigo, a meeting that highlights the ties of cooperation and friendship between Galicia and the international community.
During his speech, Pedro Blanco will highlight the key role of diplomatic representations for the social and economic progress of the community. He will refer, as examples, to the 40th anniversary of Spain’s accession to the EEC, the entry into force of the new Aliens Regulation and the recent agreement on Gibraltar, “which will mean the fall of the last great wall that existed in democratic Europe”.
The delegate will congratulate both the Consular Corps and the Galician authorities for their “impeccable work, always on the side of the citizens and in collaboration with the Government, strengthening our democracy”.
The event will also include the Government’s deputy delegate in Pontevedra, Abel Losada, and representatives of the Civil Guard, National Police and Naval Command of Vigo.
