The deputy delegate of the Government in A Coruña, María Rivas, recognized this morning in Zas the work of the volunteers and the volunteers of Civil Protection in A Coruña and thanked them for their promotion of a freer and safer society. María Rivas participated in the VI Provincial Meeting of Volunteers and Civil Protection Volunteers of A Coruña and in the award of medals of the National Association of Voluntary Groups (ANAV) of Civil Protection.
The subdelegate highlighted her altruism, “a fundamental social involvement that can be seen in every emergency, be it local and quick to solve or regional or national: you are always there”. To continue working and improving the security of the people, María Rivas offered them at the hand of the Government of Spain, “which congratulates you and thanks you for your enormous involvement, generosity and willingness.”
In this regard, he highlighted the special work carried out by these volunteers during the days of the tragic DANA in Valencia, or in the forest fires that occurred in Galicia in recent years. Throughout these moments, in which Civil Protection responds without doubt, María Rivas pointed out that society “knows that it can count on all and all of you”.
María Rivas especially congratulated all those volunteers and Civil Protection volunteers from all over the country who received their medals and decorations, “who deserve so much for your deep sense of responsibility.”
