The government delegate in Galicia, Pedro Blanco, met today with the coordinators of the AFALGA Association (Association of Relatives of Alcoholic Persons of Galicia), to know the services offered by this group at the Galician level.
AFALGA belongs to the national association Al-Anon/Alateen, which provides help, listen and welcome to people who live with a sick person or an alcoholic.
The delegate stressed the importance of this type of association to strengthen the family networks of people suffering from alcoholism and conveyed to them the steps that the Government is taking to strengthen public health policies against this type of addiction.
