The Subdelegation of the Government in Ourense organizes various activities to celebrate the Open Administration Week 2025, which will take place from May 19 to 25. Open Gov Week is an initiative promoted worldwide by the Open Gov Week, which aims to organize events that bring Public Administrations closer to citizens.
To this end, the Subdelegation of the Government in Ourense will carry out on 19 and 20 May guided visits for employees and public employees to the Public Library of the State of Nós, located at Canle Street, 6, in Ourense. There were 60 Administration workers who confirmed their attendance at this activity, which will be divided into four shifts: two on Monday, at 10:00 and 12:00, and two on Tuesday at the same time.
On the other hand, the Government Subdelegation also organizes an open day for different social and neighborhood entities at its headquarters, on Calle Parque de San Lázaro, 1, on Wednesday, May 21 at 12:00 hours. The attendees will participate in a guided tour to get to know the building.
The objective is to show you all the services and offer you two informative talks. One will be taught by the head of the Aliens Office, Josefina Rodríguez, and will deal with the main novelties of the new Aliens Regulation. The second, offered by the provincial head of Telecommunications, Enrique San Martín, will address the UNICO broadband satellite extension program.
Other State Service Activities in Ourense
On the occasion of the Open Administration Week, other State services in Ourense organize different activities. The Territorial Management of the Cadastre will carry out on Tuesday, May 20, a survey, which combines the face-to-face and online modality, to know the assessment of users about the care, services and procedures offered.
The INE Delegation in Ourense organizes an open day on Tuesday, May 20, aimed at citizens, in which attendees will receive a brief exhibition on the institution and its work: approach to its website to obtain information, curious data that can be consulted and, finally, a guided visit by the units. There will be two shifts for the realization of this activity, at 10 and 12 hours, and it will be at the headquarters of the INE (Rúa Salvador Dalí, 13-15).
The Subdelegation of Defense also opens its doors to the citizens on Wednesday, May 21, at 11:00 a.m. This activity, at its headquarters in Calle del Paseo, 35, includes a guided tour of the facilities to learn about its history and mission. Attendees will also be able to see the exhibition "Gulías and the Subdelegation of Defense. His vision of the city", exhibited inside the rooms.
On the same day, on Wednesday, the Provincial Traffic Headquarters of Ourense will offer an informative talk about the new "Theorist of the driving license in simple language", directed to the Association of deaf people of Ourense and the Federation of People with Intellectual Disability (FADEMGA), with the aim of facilitating the obtaining of the driving license to people with some type of disability. In addition, attendees will also receive information, recommendations and advice on road safety.
In parallel, the Delegation of the State Tax Administration Agency (AEAT) in Ourense organizes on Wednesday, May 21, at 10:00 a.m., an informative talk with the purpose of raising awareness among the general public, and especially women victims of gender violence, about the behaviors that involve financial control of the victim of violence, as well as the unwanted effects for herself in the fiscal field.
On Thursday, May 22, it will be the turn of the Provincial Directorate of Ourense of the National Institute of Social Security and the General Treasury of Social Security (INSS/TGSS), with an activity aimed at citizens in Plaza Eduardo Barreiros, 2. Any citizen who attends will receive personalized attention and be informed about the electronic services of the INSS and the IMPORTASS portal of the TGSS. The hours of public attention will be from 9:00 to 14:00 hours.
Also on Thursday, the Prison Center of O Pereiro de Aguiar will carry out a guided tour of its facilities for citizens in general and for public employees. It will begin at 5:00 p.m. and will last approximately two hours, in which the attendees will know the different treatment programs offered by the center to the inmates and the work done daily by the staff.
The doors of the Provincial Commissariat of the National Police are also open on Thursday to receive officials, officials of the General Administration of the State and also the general public. There will be a guided tour to publicize the services offered and the facilities.
