The deputy delegate of the Government in Ourense, Eladio Santos, together with the lieutenant colonel of the Command of the Civil Guard, Rafael Berguillo, participated this morning in Entrimo in the presentation of the Mobile Office of Attention to the Citizen and the Pilgrim (OMAC/P) of the Civil Guard.
This unit has the necessary technical capacity to offer with quality multiple general actions of Attention to the Citizen, taking special relevance in the rural areas of our province and in the municipalities along the Camino de Santiago.
However, the OMAC/P is part of an ambitious project that aims to increase the proximity of the Civil Guard to all citizens, with the capacity to travel throughout the province, so that it can cover the most immediate needs of attention to pilgrims and neighbors of the rural.
During the presentation, the Government’s deputy delegate stressed that this unit is another sign of the central government’s concern to be present in the rural world, guaranteeing the attention and security of all citizens. “It has its origin in the function of attending to the pilgrim, but now it is sought to give it a greater dimension to attend to the citizen throughout the year,” he explained. “It is an itinerant office that will travel throughout the province, mainly the municipalities with less population and in which there is no Civil Guard headquarters, and will perform various functions related to security. It will collect reports of criminal acts, attend by appointment to carry out procedures, act as an advanced control office in the case of forest fires, be present at specific events with a lot of crowds and accompany in the Master Plan and Major Plan,” he concluded.
