Pontevedra, March 31, 2025.- The subdelegate of the Government in Pontevedra, Abel Losada, today gave the cards of “cyberexpert@” to the 50 students of sixth grade of primary school of the Calasancio College of Pontevedra and to the 19 of the same course of the CEIP of Cabanas (Salcedo-Pontevedra), who overcame the training actions on cybersecurity framed in the Master Plan for Coexistence in Educational Centers. This program is developed in the city of Pontevedra by the specialized team of the National Police Station.
Accompanied by the provincial commissioner, Juan José Díaz, and by the management of the educational centers, Losada congratulated the students for completing this course, stressing that “learning in cybersecurity not only protects minors, but also provides them with the necessary tools to move responsibly in the digital world.”
In this sense, he encouraged boys and girls to share the knowledge acquired with the rest of the students of the school and with their family environment, helping parents, grandparents and grandmothers to better understand the risks and advantages of the digital world. “The Network offers great opportunities, but it is essential that both children and adults know their dangers to avoid risk situations,” he added.
