In this regard, he stressed that the Government of Spain increased by more than 47% the average amount of scholarships in Galicia since the 2017/2018 academic year, in such a way that Galician families went from receiving an average of 1,792.32 euros in the 2017/2018 academic year, to 2,637.44 euros in the last closed call, of this same course.
The delegate highlighted the aforementioned national investment of this new scholarship offer, a total of 2,544 million euros, the highest figure in history. This represents an 80% increase in the funds allocated to study grants than in the 2017/2018 academic year. This is the eighth consecutive increase in the amount allocated by the Government to scholarships, which increased by more than 1.1 billion euros since 2017.
