The subdelegate of the Government in Lugo, Isabel Rodríguez, and the president of the Confederation of Entrepreneurs of Lugo (CEL), Jaime López, presented today a new training program aimed at workers of the province. This initiative, funded with more than 700,000 euros by the Government of Spain through the Recovery Plan, will benefit more than 1,260 students in workplaces in Lugo.
The aim of this programme is to improve the qualification and requalification of the active population in strategic sectors, with special emphasis on digital transformation and ecological transition. The subdelegate stressed that this investment responds to the need to strengthen digital skills, optimize logistics with sustainability criteria and promote energy savings in production processes.
“Training is key to improving the employability and competitiveness of companies. With initiatives like this, the Government reaffirms its commitment to the working people and the business fabric of Lugo,” said Isabel Rodríguez. In addition, he praised the role of the CEL in the management of these funds, highlighting its responsibility and rigour in promoting training and employment in the province.
Rodríguez also encouraged interested people to take advantage of this opportunity to update their knowledge and adapt to the new demands of the purchased one. “Our commitment to Lugo is strong, and we demonstrated this with investments in excess of 2.3 billion euros in infrastructure and social economy in the last year. We will continue to bet on the development of the province with the support of entities such as CEL, which contribute to strengthening the social welfare of all Lucenses,” concluded the subdelegate.
