The deputy delegate of the Government in A Coruña, María Rivas, highlighted in Vimianzo the facilities offered by the Government to bring the Administration closer to all the municipalities of the province. It did so in the presentation of the program ‘La Administración Cerca de Ti’ in the locality, which consists of practical informative sessions given by staff of the Government Subdelegation, previously trained, and, as a novelty in this edition, also of other units of the SEPE, the General Directorate of Traffic and Social Security.
Accompanied by the mayor, Mónica Rodríguez, the subdelegate reported that the General Administration of the State offers the possibility of carrying out more than 90% of the procedures and communications with its departments digitally, from basic procedures such as benefits, payment of taxes, driving licences, #public fee payment, requests for study aid or work life certificates, to the request for subsidies, which in many cases can only be managed telematically.
“The objective is that anyone, from mobile or computer, can easily access all the services offered by the Administration without having to travel to the large population centers,” explained Rivas, who said that in the visits, in addition to facilitating the issuance of the digital certificate, which serves as a key to the digital platforms of the Administration, the staff informs the processes to which it gives access and provides technical assistance to the attendees to carry out the necessary procedures in the sessions themselves.
In this regard, and given the usefulness of this service, the subdelegate called on the municipalities of the province of less than 8,000 inhabitants “not to miss this opportunity to improve the attention to their neighbors and to adhere to the protocol signed between the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FEMP) and the Ministry of Territorial Policy and Democratic Memory that allows the development of this program.
Second edition
Maria Rivas recalled that, in its first edition, ‘The Administration Near You traveled 8,728 kilometers and reached 63 of the 67 municipalities with less than 8,000 inhabitants of the province, in which 981 digital certificates were issued.
In this second phase, the program has already reached localities such as Miño and Vilarmaior and it is planned that this week it will also visit the city of Carnota. To date, 36 of the 67 small municipalities of the province are registered, which collaborate with the Subdelegation of the Government in A Coruña ceding the spaces in which this initiative is developed.
Another of the novelties of this edition is that it is planned to extend it to other groups and thus advance in the approach of the Administration to entities such as merchants, self-employed, students, people at risk of social exclusion, unions, gerontological centers or agrarian collectives, among others.
María Rivas stressed the importance of the program, which “promotes equal opportunities between the urban and rural population and strengthens the presence of the State in the territory, in particular, in the less populated municipalities.”
Other services
The deputy delegate in A Coruña recalled that ‘The Administration Near You is one of the numerous services of the Government to bring the Administration closer to the citizens, among which she also cited the mobile units for the issuance of the ID or the Police Documentation Update Points, which Vimianzo will soon have; the advice for the campaign of the Rent in the municipalities, or the traveler’s suitcase against gender violence, “all designed to improve the lives of the inhabitants of our province”, she concluded.
