The deputy delegate of the Government in Pontevedra, Abel Losada, held today a meeting with representatives of the College of Veterinarians of Pontevedra, including its president, Luis Núñez. During the meeting, various issues and claims of the veterinary community that are the competence of the Government of Spain were addressed. Among the topics covered are the recognition of the health status of veterinarians, the reduction of VAT applied to veterinary services, the new registration of veterinary establishments or the application of the PresVet platform.
The Government’s deputy delegate undertook to transmit these demands to the competent ministries and thanked the cordiality of the meeting, stressing the importance of the work of the veterinary sector in the field of public health and animal welfare.
