The government delegate in Galicia, Pedro Blanco, reviewed with the mayor of Bergondo, Alejandra Pérez Máquez, the work of the government in the infrastructures of the municipality, improving its mobility. They highlighted the positive impact of these works on the quality of life of the residents, “putting the infrastructures at their service”, as Pedro Blanco stressed.
One of these works is the humanization of the N-6 in Cortiñán, whose project has already been approved. The delegate pointed out that the actions that the Government will carry out on this road will improve the lives of hundreds of citizens, since this is an area with houses on both sides of the road.
Another of the main fields of government action in the municipality of Bergondo is the roundabout of Guísamo, which connects the town with the road that leads to Pontedeume and Ferrol. This action will end soon, culminating the change of one crossing for a modern roundabout, “which will increase safety and facilitate driving in that area of Guísamo,” as the delegate pointed out.
Blanco and Pérez also reviewed the work for the containment of the ribada on the beach of Regueiro, in which the Ministry for Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge advances without affecting the natural environment and respecting the ecosystems of the beach. In addition, the mayor transferred to the delegate the allegations to the baipás of Betanzos regarding the municipal term of Bergondo.
Improvement of the Casa do Concello
The delegate also highlighted the completion of the energy rehabilitation works of the Town Hall House, in which the Government invested 457,016 euros through the Public Buildings Promotion and Rehabilitation Program (PIREP), financed from the funds of the Recovery Plan.
He pointed out that this work includes the total improvement of the thermal envelope, which was carried out by renovating the exterior insulation of the facades and roofs, intervening the holes of the walls, replacing the exterior carpentry and installing sun protection with interior and exterior blinds. The goal of energy rehabilitation is to reduce final energy consumption by 95%, and drastically reduce carbon dioxide emissions.
