The subdelegate of the Government in Lugo, Isabel Rodríguez, today presided over the local security board in which the device that will ensure safety was specified on the occasion of the “O Gran Camiño” cycling sporting event, which will hold its fourth edition from February 26 to March 2.
At the meeting, held in the Subdelegation, Isabel Rodríguez, appealed for responsibility on the part of the neighborhood, “the information of schedules and itineraries that are transferred both from the affected concellos and from the different administrations must be taken into account, being respectful with the signage, with the environment and also with the athletes, who come to enjoy the Galician landscapes and our roads, perfect for this type of events.”
The main novelty of this edition, with respect to the previous years, is the addition of a new stage, adding five tests and a total of 516.4 kilometers. ‘O Gran camiño’ will kick off with the first stage in Matosinhos (Portugal) and will end in Santiago de Compostela, passing through different municipalities of Pontevedra (second stage), Ourense (third stage), Lugo (fourth stage) and A Coruña (fifth stage).
