Pedro Sánchez visits the Galicia stand at FITUR and highlights the Government’s commitment to sustainable and quality tourism

The President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, accompanied by the delegate of the Government in Galicia, Pedro Blanco, visited today the stand of Galicia in Fitur, where he highlighted the commitment to sustainable and quality tourism based on the excellent resources of Galicia and respectful of its environment.

Both highlighted the more than 220 million euros invested by the Government in the promotion, modernization and improvement of the tourist offer in Galicia under the Recovery Plan. “They are funds that are allowing the value of the enormous gastronomic, cultural and patrimonial riches that we have in the community, making our territory a more attractive space for those who visit it, but also better for the people who bet on developing their life project here,” said Pedro Blanco.

Later, the delegate accompanied the mayor of Lugo, Paula Alvarellos, and the president of the Provincial Council, José Tomé, in the presentation of the campaign ‘Province of Lugo: immerse yourself in the magic of its waters’, promoted by both institutions.

The delegate encouraged to get to know first-hand the Galician tourist offer and its people, “the best we have in Galicia”, while congratulating the Concello de Lugo and the Provincial Council for this campaign “that only shows the world the beauty of the province of Lugo, of which in Galicia we are already good connoisseurs”.
