Pedro Blanco highlights in FITUR the impact of geotourism on the territory and economy of the area of Cabo Ortegal

The government delegate in Galicia, Pedro Blanco, supported today in Fitur the presentation of the new informative material ‘A trip to the interior of the Xeoparque Cabo Ortegal’, which collects the main elements of the archaeological and tourist heritage of this space, which extends through seven concellos of the province of A Coruña.

Pedro Blanco congratulated the promoters of this initiative, in which he collaborated with the Provincial Council of A Coruña, and reviewed the support of the Government of Spain, through the Ministry of Industry, for the transformation of the tourist offer of Galicia, which adds more than 220 million euros in direct investments and transfers to the Community.

Regarding the Xeoparque, the delegate recalled that the Government finances with 1.5 million euros the Tourism Sustainability Plan of this internationally recognized space. A plan that is developed in collaboration with the municipalities and with the Diputación Coruñesa and that focuses on the design and implementation of a specialized tourist product based on geotourism and that will have a dynamic effect on the territory and economy of this area.
