The government delegate in Galicia, Pedro Blanco, presided this morning in the Delegation the act of condemnation of the male crime committed in La Rioja after his statement by the Government Delegation against Gender Violence, of the Ministry of Equality. María Rivas, deputy delegate of the Government in A Coruña, also participated in this event.
The delegate read a statement condemning the murder of this 39-year-old woman, allegedly committed by her ex-partner on October 18 in Logroño. She also expressed her solidarity with the family and the rapprochements of the victims and reiterated the Government ' s commitment to continue working together with the other administrations and society in eliminating violence against women and promoting equality. At the end of the reading, a minute’s silence was observed.
With this death, 48 women were murdered in Spain last year.
