The government delegate in Galicia, Pedro Blanco, highlighted the impact of the Recovery Plan in the Galician municipalities from Boiro, where the municipal supply market was modernized through these funds. Pedro Blanco supervised the new facilities together with the mayor of the town, José Ramón Romero. The works were executed through a grant from the Ministry of Industry and Tourism for the modernization of the Open Commercial Center of Boiro amounting to 237,641 euros.
Pedro Blanco thanked José Ramón Romero for his committed work with the future of Boiro, providing his neighbors with modern public services adapted to their needs. “The results of the work of this Mayor are noted in the growth and expansion of municipal resources available to citizens, which make life easier for Boirenses,” said the delegate.
The actions in the supply square consisted of the installation of LED lighting systems, adequate signage in the stands and the decorative covering of floors and walls. In addition, stainless steel screens, a welded mesh and a natural fiber decorative rope anchored to the ceiling were placed in the fishmonger area. Prior to the start of the municipal market reform, other actions to promote local trade were undertaken with this same help from the Ministry of Industry and Tourism.
Collaboration between administrations is key for the Boirense square, since the investment of the Ministry of Industry and Tourism through the Recovery Plan makes possible its improvement works. “The funds of the Plan, disbursed by the Government, are benefiting all the municipalities and creating a Galicia with a future,” said Pedro Blanco. He also recalled that the Government has already invested more than 3.5 billion euros in Galicia through the Recovery Plan.
The improvement of the municipal market is not the only sign of the work between the City of Boiro and the Government. A few weeks ago, the transfer to the local administration of the House of the Sea of Cabo de Cruz, which was managed by the Social Institute of the Navy, was executed. “This Government works in favor of the citizens and for a better Boiro, always with the help of the Mayor’s Office,” said the delegate.
