The government delegate in Galicia, Pedro Blanco, presided this morning the act of tribute to public employees in the Government Delegation, accompanied by the subdelegate of the Government in A Coruña, María Rivas. Pedro Blanco highlighted the work of the officials of the General Administration of the State in Galicia and imposed the badges of honor to the staff of the Delegation and the Subdelegation of the Government in A Coruña retired during this year.
In this act, two distinctions were awarded for the first time to active and also retired personnel in recognition of public service, in particular that provided in extraordinary events. The first of these distinctions fell to the official of the IGN, Monsterrat Fraguío, and the second recognized the service provided by the official Mari Carmen Lis Cárcamo, who was in charge in 1973 of processing the files of the 85 people who died in the air accident in Montrove and of caring for their families at this tragic time.
