The Government delegate in Galicia, Pedro Blanco, presided this morning in the Delegation the act of condemnation of the last two male crimes committed in Spain, after the declaration of them by the Government Delegation against Gender Violence, of the Ministry of Equality. María Rivas, deputy delegate of the Government in A Coruña, also participated in this event.
The delegate read a statement condemning the murders of Martha Isabel, in Cartagena (Murcia), and Viveiro’s neighbor, Rejane, killed yesterday. She also expressed her solidarity with the family and the rapprochements of the victims and reiterated the Government ' s commitment to continue working together with the other administrations and society in eliminating violence against women and promoting equality. At the end of the reading, a minute’s silence was observed.
With these deaths, 46 women have been murdered in Spain so far this year, five of them in the Galician Community.
