The government delegate in Galicia, Pedro Blanco, presided today in the Delegation the minute of silence in a sign of condemnation for the murder of a woman on December 10 in Palma de Mallorca in a new case of male violence. The event was also attended by the subdelegate of the Government in A Coruña, María Rivas.
The delegate recalled that, so far this year, 44 women have been killed, leaving 34 children orphaned, two of them in the latter case. In addition, he said, 9 children were killed by their parents.
Pedro Blanco expressed his solidarity with the family and friends of María del Rosario and reiterated the Government’s commitment to continue working together with the other administrations and with society in the elimination of any form of violence against women.
