The Government delegate in Galicia, Pedro Blanco, presided this morning before the Delegation the act of condemnation for the crime that occurred yesterday in Jaén, after the Government Delegation against Gender Violence has confirmed the death of this two-year-old child as a case of vicarious violence.
The delegate transferred his affection to the child’s family and lamented that this crime happens in a “black week with three deaths due to gender violence in Spain.” At the event, a minute of silence was observed in memory of the victims and to “unequivocally condemn this unbearable violence against women and that is also exercised against their sons and daughters.”
With this death, the number of underage people killed by gender violence in Spain would rise to 9 in 2024 and 62 since 2013.
