Eladio Santos participates in the coordinated meeting between Ourense and Zamora for the winter maintenance of the roads of the province of Castellana

The subdelegate of the Government in Ourense, Eladio Santos, attended this morning the meeting of the commission that coordinates the device applied in the network of state roads of the province of Zamora to face prevention, surveillance and actions during the winter 2024-2025, which took place in the Center of Conservation of Roads of the State of the province of Castellana.
Since the border area between Ourense and Zamora is one of the most problematic in winter, the operation is coordinated between the subdelegations of both provinces. For this reason, the two subdelegates of the Government were present at the meeting, as well as representatives of the Civil Guard, National Police, Civil Protection and Red Cross, among others.
It addressed the human and material resources that will be available this year in Zamora, as well as the protocols for action in case of alert situations. The attendees stressed the importance of prevention and the usual coordination between administrations and institutions involved; and insisted that informing the population is another fundamental pillar, in order to follow the recommendations of the experts and thus avoid possible incidents.
In the same sense, Eladio Santos advanced that the winter vialidade plan that will be applied on the Ourense roads this winter is scheduled to become effective next week.
