The subdelegate of the Government in Ourense, Eladio Santos, made an institutional visit this morning to the City of Vilardevós, to know together with its mayor, Eva Pérez, the needs of the municipality, to bring you information and news about subsidies for the rental and rehabilitation of homes, as well as to be interested in the situation of projects that have state funding, such as facilities that improve the energy efficiency of the City Council or for the maintenance of rural roads.
At the beginning of the meeting, the deputy delegate made a statement of intent, stating that “the Government of Spain is very committed to the development of the rural world, to fix population and economy”.
Precisely, to facilitate life outside the big cities and allow the emancipation of children under 35 years of age, Eladio Santos brought to the mayor detailed information on the second call for the Young Rental Bonus 2024, for which the Council of Ministers approved for Galicia a contribution of 11.4 million euros, intended to help young people to pay a rent or access a home.
Since the launch of this bond in 2022, the funding received by our community from the Central Government amounts to 34.2 M€, which shows the firm commitment of the same for those measures that society most needs and, specifically, for young people, a group that has greater difficulties in housing.
In addition, examples of this commitment by the State for the rural are also the various grants that Vilardevós received in recent times for projects of importance for the municipality, such as the improvement of municipal roads for access to agricultural plots, receiving for this purpose almost 60,000 euros from the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development; and the arrival of broadband to small nuclei through the UN-Broadband Program, of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Enterprise.
Finally, subdelegate and mayor spoke about the importance of the State Pact Against Gender Violence, which allocated 1,800 euros to Vilardevós for activities related to this problem, which are key to contributing to social awareness.
