Vigo, October 21, 2024.- The Deputy Delegate of the Government in Pontevedra, Abel Losada, inaugurated the course Security in Portos aimed at the Executive Scale of the National Police, in which about fifty inspectors and sub-inspectors from all over Spain are participating. No act also involved police authorities headed by the provincial commissioner-chief, Juan José Díaz; the president of the Port Authority, Carlos Botana, and the Security Councillor of Vigo, Patricia Rodríguez. In his speech, Losada highlighted security as a factor of economic growth.
The deputy delegate stressed that security is always in the portfolio of business investments and that helps that this province, Vigo and Spain in general are experiencing significant growth “while in other parts of the world things happen that do not need to be insisted on”. He defined the port of Vigo as “a door for the entry and exit of goods from all over Galicia in an environment in which the verxa towards the city is decreasing more and more”. It also valued the collaboration of all the agents involved in port life in favor of security.
Losada concluded that the province of Pontevedra offers a high quality of life thanks to this combination between economy and security “and you are everything in an environment in which there are three ports of general interest of the State, an international airport and more than 70 Km of border”.
