The subdelegate of the Government in Lugo, Isabel Rodríguez, today urged the municipalities of the province to take advantage of the opportunity offered by the new call for grants for the creation of Mentor Classrooms, a program promoted by the Ministry of Education, Vocational Training and Sports. This project, included in the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan, is designed to encourage the continuous training of adults.
Thus, the General Secretariat of Vocational Training has published in the BOE the extract of the resolution that establishes the call for grants in competitive competition with a budget of 2,720,000.00 euros, distributed in 680 modules of 4,000 euros each. Isabel Rodríguez reported that “Lucan municipalities can already apply for the funds until November 10.”
The subdelegate stressed that this program is “a new opportunity to promote lifelong learning, allowing adults to improve their skills through a flexible and cumulative mode of distance education.” He also recalled that in previous calls for proposals, a dozen municipalities in the province have already benefited from this aid, which demonstrates the success and acceptance of the program in the territory.
Program
The Classroom Mentor Program aims to offer open and accessible training through the Internet, giving adults the opportunity to continue training without limitations of time or space. The Mentor Classrooms are integrated as key spaces to develop an educational offer that responds to the demands of today’s society, referenced to the National Catalogue of Competition Standards.
