The government delegate, Pedro Blanco, announced today that the Ministry of Industry and Tourism will support the development of 10 innovative tourism experiences in Galicia with more than one million euros of the Recovery Plan.
Pedro Blanco reported on the resolution of the last call of the Program 'Experiences of Tourism Spain' to design and put on the market new tourism products in alternative destinations and on the basis of environmental sustainability. The delegate stressed that, “through these initiatives, Galicia will see strengthened its already extensive tourist offer, gaining in quality to attract new visitor profiles, improving experiences and extending them to all year round”.
The Ministry of Industry and Tourism has published the resolution of this aid, financed from the funds of the Government Recovery Plan, which distributes 19.7 million euros between 41 projects (7 individual and 34 cooperative) that will benefit 230 entities. No case of Galicia, there are 10 projects in which a total of 14 companies and entities of the community participate and that will have an impact in the four provinces.
The projects with Galician presence are as follows:
• ‘Spain through its wineries’, a project in which ten entities participate, among which are three Galician wineries Terras Gauda, Adegas and Via Romana and Gargalo Vineyards that add an aid of 209,412 euros out of a total of 687,162 euros received by the project.
• ‘Beaches without limits’, with 123,148.78 euros for the County Council of Pontevedra. The project is made up of 5 entities and receives in total an aid of 583,385.25 euros.
• ‘Mining and Industrial Tourism of Coal’. Led by the CIUDEN foundation, which concentrates the bulk of the investment (241,500 euros), it adds an aid of 682,500 euros to be distributed among five entities, among which is the City of the Pontes, which receives 88,200 euros.
• ‘Green Diving, passion for the oceans and seas’. NaugaSub SL is one of the nine companies that make up the project, with a total aid of 699,300 euros of which 77,700 euros correspond to the Galician firm.
• ‘Turimvi-Spain Interior’. The Portuguese firm Bold Digital Comms SL receives 25,150 euros of the 228,000 euros of aid for this project that are distributed among the 8 entities that make up it.
• ‘Creation Experience Tourism of Reservoirs of Spain’. The County Council of Lugo, with 127,750 euros, is one of the seven entities benefiting from the aid of 700,000 euros that obtained this initiative.
• ‘Cider wool routes from Spain’. Four entities are part of this project, including the Association Maceira y Sidra de A Estrada, which receives 40,000 of the 141,015 euros granted by the Ministry of Industry.
• ‘Routes from him I came from Spain: 360’ experiences. En esta iniciativa participan un total de 22 entidades que se reparten 700.000 euros en ayudas. Galicia is represented by the Rías Baixas Wine Route Association, which carries 28,000 euros.
• ‘Spain Culinary Villages’. The City of Viveiro (63,500 euros) is one of the five municipalities that make up this project, which receives 581,500 euros.
• ‘Accessible Fishing Industrial Heritage Route’. It is the initiative with the greatest weight of Galician firms. Fisterra SLU (111,967 euros), Asociación Amicos (77,028.15 euros) and the Fundación para la Pesca y el Marisqueo-Fundamar (116,360 euros) carry a large part of the 591,103.59 euros of aid, which is distributed among the 6 entities that make up the project, among which is also the National Federation of Fishermen’s Guilds.
