The latest call for proposals from the Ministry of Industry and Tourism’s “Experiences Tourism Spain” Programme, funded under the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan, will allow the development of five projects in the province of Pontevedra worth 488,916 euros.
Among those selected is the winery Terras Gauda de O Rosal, which receives a contribution of 69,440 euros to participate in the program ´Spain through its wineries' along with a dozen national wineries. The County Council of Pontevedra receives 123,149 euros as part of the project "Beaches without limits" together with four other entities and the Association of Apple and Cider of A Estrada, with a contribution of 40,000 euros, is integrated into the "Cider Route of Spain", formed by three other organizations. Likewise, the Cambades-based association of the Rías Baixas Wine Route, beneficiary of a grant of 28,000 euros, is part of a project made up of a dozen winegrowing associations to develop the Spanish Wine Routes initiative: 360′ experiences. Finally, the company Viajes Fisterra, from Sanxenxo, leads the initiative of the “Accessible Fishing Industrial Heritage Route”, in which the Foundation for Fisheries and Shellfish (Fundamar) also participates, with two contributions of 111,967 and 116,360 euros respectively.
The deputy delegate of the Government, Abel Losada, highlighted “the commitment to innovation of the tourism sector in the province” while recalling “the important and continuous support of the Government of Spain to the companies, organizations and entities that are working in favor of its strengthening and transformation.” And he insisted that “once again, it should show that European funds distributed by the Government are reaching the entire territory, its business fabric and the citizens.”
