Abel Losada advances to the mayor of Barro the project of the future roundabout of the N-550

The roundabout that will improve the connection of the national road N-550 with the provincial EP-0506 at the entrance to the center of Sano Antoniño (Barro) already has a project. The deputy delegate of the Government, Abel Losada, presented it to the mayor of Barro, Xosé Manuel Abraldes, in a meeting in which the head of the Road Demarcation in Galicia, Ángel del Río, and the head of this department in the province, Pablo Domínguez, also took part.
Abel Losada highlighted the quality of a design that will mean a significant improvement in road safety and also in the fluidity of traffic at this intersection, since the provincial road connects with the Portela station and with Curro. The project will now be subject to monitoring by the Ministry of Transport and public information.
The mayor of Barro promised to inform the neighborhood to speed up the public information procedure and, in addition, he valued the inclusion of a branch that is also foreseen within this action to facilitate the incorporation through a neighborhood path without saturation of connections to future roundabout.
The subdelegate of the Government stressed the commitment of the Government of Spain to the constant improvement of the State road network in the province, surpassing the stage of zero investments during the previous Government presided over by Mariano Rajoy. In addition, he recalled that the investments currently underway in conservation in this province reach 35 million euros and include, among many other improvements, the paving of the three motorways, that is, the VG-20, the La-55 and the La-52, “which we find in painful conditions both in the road and in the drainage and which we are leaving prepared to face the next decade”.
