The deputy delegate of the Government in Lugo, Isabel Rodríguez, presided together with the mayor of Cervo, Dolores García, the meeting of the Xunta Local de Seguridad to articulate the device for the summer festivities, mainly the traditional celebration of the Maruxaina, which will take place next Saturday, August 10.
Thus, the representative of the Government in the province offered the full collaboration of the State Security Bodies and Forces to avoid any incident and guarantee the normal development of the festivities, calling on all attendees to “celebrate and have fun with caution, always following the rules established by both the organization and the security forces.”
The subdelegate recalled the importance of citizen collaboration in preventing and responding to attitudes “that prevent celebrations free of any type of violence”, with special emphasis “on sexist aggressions”.
In addition, during the meeting, the main indicators on citizen security were reviewed, noting that the municipality continues to have levels of misdemeanours and crimes well below the provincial, regional and national average. The Xunta Local de Seguridad was attended by members of the Civil Guard, the Autonomous Police, Local Police and Traffic.
