Pontevedra, June 24, 2024.- The Spanish Football Federation and “LALIGA”, the organization that manages the Spanish professional competitions of the 42 clubs of the First and Second Division, come from accepting a recommendation of the subdelegate of the Government in Pontevedra, Abel Losada, to take steps towards the eradication of the “corridors of collections” of the world of football for its negative influence in the school environment.
A few weeks ago, Losada received complaints from the mothers and fathers’ associations (ANPA) of the province for the proliferation of this type of practice in dates such as Baccalaureate graduations. The results of this communication from the ANPA, during an informative meeting on the Master Plan for Coexistence and Security in Educational Centers, decided to contact the president of the Spanish Football Federation, Pedro Rocha, and the president of “LALIGA”, Javier Tebas. The subdelegate wrote letters addressed to Rocha and la Tebas trala broadcast by several television channels, including Televisión Española, and many written media, from images of “corridors of collections” to the goalkeeper of the Men’s National Team, Unai Simón, on the occasion of his anniversary.
A fact that comes from repeating itself, days later, with the national coach himself, Luis de la Fuente. The Spanish Football Federation pledged to “take note of the above to prevent behaviors such as those described from normalizing”. Its president affirmed his commitment to safeguard the positive values of football. “As you can see in lana carta,” writes Pedro Rocha, “sportspeople, and especially footballers, tend to be a reference for smaller players. His example is important both within and outside the playing field.” For its part, “LALIGA” will communicate the “concerns” of Abel Losada to all the captains of the 42 professional football clubs and to the Xunta Directive of the Spanish Association of Footballers so that they can transfer their colleagues and affiliates to “take the appropriate measures”.
The president of the soccer bosses, Javier Tebas, says that they are aware of the social transcendence of the world of football as well as the responsibility that footballers have “due to the enormous influence they exert on children and adolescents.” Subdelegate Abel Losada had explained in his letter to the Federation and the “LALIGA” that beyond the fact that the specific fact of the “corridor” to Unai Simón, this type of behavior is common in professional clubs and frequently appears to the media as a festive and fun fact.
And after explaining the problems exposed by the ANPA of the province, he wondered “what authority do the authorities and the addresses of the educational centers have to prohibit them if the National Team and the football clubs tolerate and disseminate images with “corridors of collections”? “If it is a funny joke in the training of “Red Wool” because it has to be something bad in the mind of high school raptors?” “If Unai Simón accepts the joke, why a student goes from “crying” to complaining?” In addition, the subdelegate stresses his duty to transfer the complaints of the ANPA of the province on this matter to an area as related as football and expresses his concern for the fact that, “right now and throughout the year there are raptors who are temporarily expelled from the educational centers for having made “corridors of collejas” in the institute or in the same professional field.
