The subdelegate of the Government in Ourense, Eladio Santos, stressed this morning in the City of Verín the commitment of the Government of Pedro Sánchez for the recovery of thermal resources after investing 150,000 euros of the Tourist Sustainability Plan - Ourense Termal in the construction of a survey for groundwater catchment in the polygon of Caldeliñas.
The deputy delegate went to the site accompanied by the mayor, Gerardo Seoane, in order to supervise the progress of the drilling works that according to the optional director of the work are progressing at a good pace. “The objective is to continue the work so that the neighborhood enjoys this new water resource that opens up a range of possibilities at many levels, also from a historical and tourist point of view,” said the deputy delegate.
The action aims to capture waters that can subsequently be declared for therapeutic use from a mineral-medicinal perspective, “thus recovering their historical use”. The deputy delegate acknowledged the work of the mayor “to launch projects in emblematic places such as Caldeliñas, and tended at the hand of the Government to continue betting “for the progress of small municipalities that deserve attention to make their demands a reality.”
The action is included in the Tourism Sustainability Plan in Ourense Termal, an agreement signed between the Secretary of State for Tourism, the Tourism Agency of Galicia and lana Diputación de Ourense.
