The subdelegate of the Government in Lugo, Isabel Rodríguez, delivered this morning in the Ceip A Ponte 30 cyber-expert cards to students of 6th grade in the framework of the Master Plan of the National Police. This program of coexistence and improvement of safety in schools has already carried out more than 400 training actions in the different schools and institutes of Lugo over the last two years.
The subdelegate referred to the great work that the agency does with schoolchildren, giving talks "on topics very important both for their safety and to promote good treatment between them", based mainly on bullying and cyberbullying, hate crimes, internet. and new technologies, drugs, violence and gender equality, and nature protection and fire prevention.
"We must redouble our efforts to prevent crimes among minors, as well as give them tools through training and information so that they know how the security forces and bodies work and improve the coexistence of the whole society, knowing that in the face of any problem or conflict they can count on their services," said the deputy delegate.
He congratulated the police training agents, and also congratulated the educational center and its director, Pablo A. Balbas, for allowing the students to receive this training, "which we know was useful for everyone, showing interest in learning".
Since the launch of the program in 2022, the training actions developed for the educational community include talks on cybersecurity, bullying, additions and gender violence.
