The subdelegate of the Government in Lugo, Isabel Rodríguez, assured once again the maximum support and collaboration of the bodies and security forces of the state for the celebration of the Arde Lucus, which will take place from June 13 to 16 . He affirmed this after the meeting of the security board that he chaired together with the mayor, Paula Alvarellos, and the councilor for youth and sports, Jorge Bustos, convened to coordinate the device that will be deployed in this Roman recreation party.
Isabel Rodríguez stressed the permanent collaboration of the Government Subdelegation with the city council, “especially in a meeting that arouses great interest for its historical, cultural and social attractiveness, and that will fill the streets of Lugo again.” For this reason, he guaranteed “coordination in security matters to try to ensure that everything develops with the maximum guarantees and without incidents”.
On the security board were representatives of the National Police, the Traffic Subsector, the General Directorate of Emergencies, the Fire Brigade, Civil Protection and the Local Police. According to the subdelegate, “we make our means available with an effective operation that allows to carry out an effective control over the shows and activities programmed”.
Finally, he encouraged “both Lucenses and all those who come from outside to enjoy this festival, to soak in the culture and history of Lugo, always appealing to individual and collective responsibility to make it a success one more year.”
