Abel Losada congratulates the 30 students of the CEIP Piñeiriño de Vilagarcía for obtaining their cards from Cyberexpert@s

The subdelegate of the Government in Pontevedra, Abel Losada, gave today the cards of “cyberexpert@” the thirty or so students of 6th Primary of the CEIP El Piñeiriño de Vilagarcía who overcame the training actions on cybersecurity framed in the Master Plan for Security and Coexistence in Educational Centers. It did so during the inauguration of the “Days against Intolerance in Sport” organized by the National Police under the program of activities held for its 200th anniversary.
The days, in which more than a hundred schoolchildren from the CEIP of Piñeiriño, Sano Franciso and Arealonga participate and which will take place from today to Thursday, address the prevention and fight against machismo and violence in the basic sport. The schoolchildren of these schools also participated in a contest in which they tested their knowledge in cybersecurity and internet and network management.
Abel Losada, who was accompanied by the Commissioner of Vilagarcía, Luis Hombreiro, and the deputy mayor of the municipality, Tania García, highlighted the effort made by all the students involved in these activities and thanked the National Police Force for its training actions. “Citizen security sees the other side of work in the streets, and programs like the Cyberexperts or conferences like today play a fundamental role in forming citizens respectful, responsible and aware of the risks that surround them.”
In this regard, Abel Losada stressed that the 34,500 students who participated last year in the Master Plan for Coexistence in Educational Centers attest to its success. This project hosts, among others, the initiative of the “cyberexperts”, the contest of knowledge organized for the schoolchildren of the town, as well as the poster contest against intolerance convened by the Commissariat of Vilagarcía and whose results can be seen in the premises of the Pescadería from today. In this exhibition, in addition to the work carried out by the schoolchildren, vehicles and material of the National Police are also exhibited, such as drones, imitation weapons, protective material, etc. Likewise, you can participate in the reconstruction of a crime scene and in the different positions of qualified sports skills.
