Abel Losada values the support of the City of Pontecesures to the program of help to the people over 65 years of age for the IRPF campaign

The subdelegate of the Government, Abel Losada, visited this morning the City of Pontecesures and valued the collaboration of this municipality with the Tax Agency to facilitate the presentation of the Personal Income Tax Declaration (IRPF) to the neighborhood over 65 years old through video assistance. The meeting also reviewed the proposals of the Mayor's Office to improve the urban treatment of the N-550 road as it passes through the town of Ullán. The mayor, María Teresa Tocino, and the deputy mayor, Roque Araújo, participated in this first institutional meeting.
Losada stressed that Pontecesures is, together with Campo Lameiro, Pazos de Borbén, Covelo, As Neves and Arbo, one of the municipalities that have joined the Tax Agency’s campaign to facilitate the presentation of personal income tax to people over 65, which shows a clear commitment to help people. The program was offered to municipalities of up to 4,000 inhabitants of our province and will benefit more than 16,000 Pontevedreses and Pontevedresas. The service is being provided from last Tuesday, May 7, until July 1 and it is the duty of the City Council to put staff for the care of the elderly who demand it. The Income Tax Return is completed through a video assistance service with the Tax Agency simulating conventional face-to-face assistance. The municipal staff in charge identifies the taxpayer and accesses the appointment tool to check that there is an appointment arranged for the agreed day and time. From there, the attention is paid by the staff of the Tax Agency through the telematic tool until the presentation of the Declaration. The taxpayer receives a Secure Verification Code at their e-mail address or on their mobile phone and, in addition, if the applicant so requests, a printed copy of the Declaration is made.
The institutional visit of the subdelegate of the Government to the City of Pontecesures also included a review of the state of the margins of the N-550, which suffers as it passes through Pontecesures, a clear urban pressure for the growth of the built spaces. Losada toured, accompanied by Tocino and Araújo, some of the points where the City Council demands actions, as is the case of the section near the House of the City Council, in which a comprehensive improvement of the sidewalks is requested. In addition, the City Council demanded zebra crossings from the Plaza de Pontevedra. The subdelegate was also interested in the state of the interprovincial bridge of the Ulla River, which supports the traffic of the national road, and which requires actions in its structure. In addition, he guided the mayor on possible procedures with the Railway Infrastructure Manager (Adif) for the shared use and conservation of the spaces of the train station.
