Ourense, April 11, 2024.- The Deputy Delegate of the Government in Ourense, Emilio González, held this morning a working meeting with the Mayor of Taboadela, Álvaro Vila and the Director of Works of Adif, Raúl Correa; coordinate and continue advancing in the works of railway improvement in Taboadela, specifically in those related to the Exterior Variant and its environmental impact, of which the Deputy Delegate of the Government emphasizes that "they continue to advance at a good pace within the commitments made by the Government and the marked parameters", recently the improvement between Taboadebo and the electrification was completed.
INVESTMENTS IN SAN FRANCISCO AND PELIQUIN
Emilio González highlights the millionaire investment and the railway milestones that the Government is allocating to the province of Ourense and highlights that finally, after years buried in the drawer by different governments, infrastructure improvement projects in Ourense are advancing and funds are reaching the citizens
The Subdelegate points out that the greatest commitment is the facts, the works and the projects that are announced and tendered and points out that yesterday the Ministry of Transport and Mobility made progress in continuing to make Ourense not only the gateway of the AVE to Galicia but a reference in the railway field with the approval of the investment of 14.7 million euros of the new CRC in the old San Francisco Station and with the contest for the elimination of the pass at the level of Peliquín for 2.3 million euros.
The Subdelegate points out the historical setback that will mean turning Ourense into a node and referent of the new mobility. Likewise, Emilio González details the involvement of the Government with the project to eliminate the passage at the level of Peliquín, as well as the synergies that have always been given with the neighborhood with different technical meetings where improvements could be proposed and the technical sheets of the project and the layout and in which the City Council did not intervene.
