Pobra de Trives, April 10, 2023.- The subdelegate of the Government in Ourense, Emilio González, and the mayor of Trives, Patricia Domínguez, co-chaired this morning the Local Security Board of the Municipality. During the meeting, they analyzed and assessed the situation of citizen security.
The Subdelegate of the Government described the city as "a safe municipality" with one of the lowest crime rates in the province since the data of the year 2023 reflect that the downward trend continues throughout the year, with respect to 2022, supposing a decrease especially in patrimonial crimes and with very positive data in the first quarter of 2024 where there is a decrease of more than 70% with respect to the same quarter of last year.
Emilio González has highlighted "that efforts are being added to contribute to citizen security" and thanked the mayor, Patricia Domínguez, "for her willingness". In addition, he took the opportunity to congratulate the State Security Forces and Corps for their work, especially the Civil Guard for their work regarding the high level of clarification of crimes such as the robbery that occurred last year in the City Hall substation and that ended with three detainees that same day.

The Subdelegate of the Government stressed once again the relevance and the need for the educational community and the institute of the village to be involved in the thematic talks of the Master Plan for the improvement of educational environments and security and its importance when detecting behaviors and situations of harassment among students, so he encouraged the center to join in this type of talks. He also thanked the collaboration of the GREIM of the Civil Guard to the Local Police of the village who collaborate in raising awareness about road education and mountain rescue by raising awareness among the students of the center.
