The subdelegate of the Government in Pontevedra, Abel Losada, announces that the Government continues to bet on a greener and more sustainable mobility with the next installation in the Pontevedra train station of 14 surface surcharges for electric cars with energy generated by renewable sources. The action will have a total investment of 270,000 euros. Abel Losada was today in the parking lot of the Pontevedresa station, where he reported that in the whole of the Adif province he will install a total of 34 new charging points in 5 railway stations.
Adif and Adif High Speed come from awarding the supply, installation, operation and maintenance of these surcharge points for an amount of 699,070.26 in the province and an execution time of 30 months. The company that will be in charge of this service is Repsol Comercial de Productos Petrolíferos.
As the subdelegate explained, this initiative seeks to promote “clean transport in transfers to and from railway stations and increase services to travelers in these spaces, called to become nodes of sustainable and intelligent mobility”.
The project is part of the Ecomilla programme, which aims to promote energy-efficient and zero-emission mobility on first and last mile journeys, through the development of sustainable mobility areas for zero-emission vehicles and shared vehicles, among other clean transport modes.
The stations in the province that will have these new vehicle charging points are those of O Porriño, Pontevedra, Redonda, Vigo, Vilagarcía.
Adif and Adif AV/AV/AV/AV strategy against climate change
The action is part of the Climate Change Plan of Adif and Adif AV/AV/AV/AV 2018-2030, which includes the promotion of sustainable mobility and electromobility as a tool to meet the objectives of decarbonization of economic activity. Not total of the Spanish territory, 1,000 surcharge points will be installed, with an investment amounting to 18.3 million euros from the “Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan”, financed by the European Union-NextGenerationEU.
