The subdelegate of the Government in Pontevedra, Abel Losada, traveled this morning to the section of the La-57 in the municipal term of Vilaboa, to supervise, together with the mayor, César Poza, and a neighborhood representation, the actions carried out to improve the network of storm water treatment derived from the works of this first section of the motorway.
Abel Losada explained that he wanted to comply with the commitment to “step on the ground” with the neighborhood to know personally the demands related to the optimization of canalizations and runoff in order to avoid the flooding of properties and minimize unnecessary inconvenience “because most of the things they asked us for are very reasonable.”
During the visit to the works, in which the provincial head of Roads, Pablo Domínguez, also participated, the subdelegate stressed that “this Government is a government that listens and, therefore, we will always try to meet the neighborhood demands in such complex projects as La-57, which runs along the slope of Mount Fracha and must properly manage all the water that goes down”. In addition, issues related to the improvement of the “hose” that carries the water to the source, as well as repair of roads and accesses to the hincas affected by the works were addressed.
Housing
The subdelegate of the Government took advantage of the visit to collect the relationship compiled by the City of Vilaboa in relation to small damages suffered in homes in the summer of 2021 as a result of the blasting for the dismantling phase. Thus, he reported that in the next few days technical personnel will visit the homes to monitor the possible damages and make an assessment and determine the causality. “They talked about cracks, tiles or broken tiles and all that has to be seen and taken into account because people took the trouble to sign up for a list and that has to be respected.” In any case, he added, there is already some judicial resolution, so some of these claims have already been decided in that way.
The first phase of the La-57, Pontevedra bypass, covers the stretch between Vilaboa and the crossing of the Ermita, in Pontevedra with a length of 6 Km. It is in the final part of its execution and represented an investment of about 80 million euros by the Government of Spain.
