The deputy delegate of the Government in Lugo, Isabel Rodríguez, co-presidiu together with the mayor of Quiroga, José Luis Rivera, the Local Xunta of Security of the municipality, coordinating the device that will be articulated for the XLII Feria del Viño and XXIV Oil Show of the next 30 and 31 March.
The meeting was also attended by heads of Security of the City Council, Civil Guard, National Police and Local Police.
The subdelegate celebrated the continuity of this oenological and gastronomic event “that puts on the map the wineries of the Ribeira Sacra every Saturday and Sunday of Easter since there are more than forty years”. He said that “the wine quality of this region will make the fair a success for another year”.
In this regard, he offered the councilor the necessary means to ensure the maximum safety of the attendees and thanked the disposition and work of the security bodies and forces.
Wine Fair
The city of Quiroga organizes on March 30 and 31 the XLII Feria del Viño, one of the most important wine events in the province, as well as the Olive Oil Show, which has already 23 editions.
In this event of exaltation of the wines of the region elaborated in an artisanal way will have the participation of 14 wineries: Alma de las Doñas, Algueira, Atrium Vitis, EDV Viticultores, Alvaredos – Hobbs, Hogar de Ricobao, Ponte de la Boga, Rectoral de Amandi, Casa de Outeiro, Val de Quiroga, Adega Gullufre, Pazo de lana Cuesta and Adamare Wines, in addition to the guest winery that this year comes from the DEL Valderooras: Alan de Val.
The stands and the exhibition will offer all kinds of products in the area, such as honey, oil, spirits, spirits, chestnuts, etc., and there will be a wide program of activities that combines sport, exhibitions, music and gastronomy.
