The government delegate in Galicia, Pedro Blanco, visited today the post of the Civil Guard of Valdoviño accompanied by the mayor of the town, Alberto González Fernández. The local government of Valdoviño will rehabilitate the facilities with an aid of almost 250,000 euros through the DUS 5000 Program of the Ministry for Ecological Transition. The delegate stressed that this action shows the collaboration of the Government with the municipalities for the improvement of public services, “and in this case, within an aspect as fundamental as is the security of the citizens.”
The installation where the post of the Civil Guard of Valdoviño is located is of municipal ownership. The city council welcomed the DUS 5000 program to face the improvement of the energy efficiency of the building, which will tender soon. In particular, the thermal insulation of the facade, the roof and the floor of the building will be improved, an aerothermal equipment will be installed, the lights will be replaced by LED technology and the heating and cooling systems will be modernized, among other actions.
Pedro Blanco stressed the importance of implementing these measures to advance a more sustainable and responsible society in energy terms. He pointed out that the action in Valdoviño will allow more sustainable offices and with lower cost for the City Council, since they will drastically reduce the consumption of electricity for its operation.
Not a post of the Civil Guard, the delegate and the mayor were received by the Captain of the Ferrol Company, José Antonio Niño and the commander of Post Accidental, Cabo Andrés Pérez.

The Ministry for Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge is responsible for this line of aid, included in the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan. The call aims to promote the ecological transition in the municipalities of demographic challenge by financing clean energy projects with up to 100% of the necessary investment.
