The subdelegate of the Government in A Coruña, María Rivas, received today in the subdelegation the new commander of the Civil Guard of A Coruña, Santiago Pichel Arca, appointed in July last year.
The deputy delegate sent her congratulations to Santiago Pichel for his appointment and said that he will undoubtedly “develop an exceptional job as a commander”, as he has already demonstrated with his work and dedication in previous positions.
Santiago Pichel Arca began training as a Civil Guard in 2009 at the Military Teaching Center in Zaragoza, as well as at the Civil Guard Officers Academy in Madrid. In 2012 he was promoted to the position of Lieutenant, and in 2018 to the position of Captain. He was part of the Rapid Action Group in the community of La Rioja and the Organic Judicial Police Command Unit (UOPX) of Lugo, among other services. He also participated in missions abroad, specifically in Iraq and Brazil.
In his presentation to the subdelegate of the Government in A Coruña, he was accompanied by the Lieutenant Colonel of the Command of the Civil Guard of A Coruña, Jorge Bodelón and the Head of the Traffic Subsector of Coruña, José Corral Segade.
