The government delegate in Galicia, Pedro Blanco, made today an institutional visit to the Concello de Vimianzo, where he held a meeting with the mayor of the municipality, Mónica Rodríguez, with whom he reviewed the different projects in the municipality.
During their visit they traveled to the social center of Vimianzo where different municipal services are provided and which hosts the various local organizations. The mayor transferred to the delegate the project of energy rehabilitation that the Concello contemplates for this building and that they want to present the different public calls to obtain state economic support in its implementation.
Pedro Blanco was interested in this project and the mayor reiterated the importance of strengthening cooperation between administrations in the provision of quality public services and solutions to the problems of the people, especially in small municipalities, as is the case of Vimianzo.
Afterwards, they both moved to the Casa do Concello where they held a working meeting together with other members of the local government. At this meeting, they reviewed other examples of government collaboration in the municipality, such as the renovation of outdoor lighting facilities, the extension of broadband and the digitization of public services.
German company
During the day, the government delegate and mayor went to the Vimianzo polygon to get to know first-hand the projects in which the company Gerca is now working. Pedro Blanco highlighted the work of this firm, focused on the metal carpentry sector and with more than 25 years of experience, of which he indicated that it is an industrial reference of the Costa da Morte.
With the help of the directors of Gerca, the delegate and the mayor learned about the expansion plans of this company, which resulted in investments that impacted the City of Vimianzo. The delegate congratulated them on this growth that he put as an example of good entrepreneurship.
