The Government delegate in Galicia, Pedro Blanco, held a working meeting today with the organizers of the cycling tour ‘O gran Camiño’, to whom he transferred the support and collaboration of the Government to guarantee the good celebration of this sporting event.
The delegate met with former cyclist Ezequiel Mosquera, manager of Eme Sports, a company promoting the cycling tour, and Francisco Martínez, technical manager, to know the details of the organization and advance the needs of a tour of these characteristics. He stressed that the Civil Guard, with the Traffic Group, and the National Police of Galicia have a long history in the organization of this type of events when it comes to guaranteeing the safety, both of the participants and of the amateur people who approach the places through which it passes to follow the test.
Pedro Blanco took advantage of the meeting to congratulate the promoters for the good reception of the test, which celebrates its third edition this year between 22 and 25 February. They will be four stages in which cyclists will travel through the four Galician provinces and they will also serve to highlight spaces such as the Ribeira Sacra or the concellos that crosses the River Miño.
The delegate expressed his satisfaction with the celebration of an event of this nature in Galicia, while recalling the deep tradition of cycling in our community.
