The subdelegate of the Government in A Coruña, María Rivas, made today an institutional visit to the City Council of A Pobra do Caramiñal, where she held a meeting with her mayor and members of the municipal corporation, and they approached the area of A Ribeiriña to supervise the recovery works that are being carried out and that are about to conclude.
These works consisted of recovering the space occupied by the slopes, an esplanade and the pier to recover the land of the public maritime domain – land; thus returning to its natural state an area of approximately 5,500 square meters.
These actions are financed with funds from the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan, and represent an investment of 800,000 euros in A Ribeiriña.
In the same line, María Rivas, reviewed with the members of the corporation other projects financed through the Transformation and Resilience Recovery Funds, and that are going to have a great impact in the locality, such as the march of the Tourism Sustainability Plan of Barbanza – Arousa or that of “Smart Destination” of the Municipality Community of the Ria de Arousa
Another of the projects presented by the Community of Municipalities of A Ría de Arousa, in which the city of A Pobra is also involved, is the one requested under the call “Digital transformation and modernization of the local entities that are part of the Camino de Santiago, integrated in the Network of Intelligent Tourist Destinations”; and which was also analyzed during the visit.
The subdelegate of the Government pointed out the need to support the municipalities, especially the smallest ones, in the improvement of their services and infrastructures to stop the loss of population and to guarantee their inhabitants a future with the same opportunities for all.
