Ourense, December 4, 2023.- The subdelegate of the Government in Ourense, Emilio González, and the second deputy mayor of Ourense and councilor for Citizen Security, Antonio Fernández Martín, co-chaired this morning the meeting of the Local Security Committee of the City of Ourense, in which an analysis and assessment of citizen security was carried out, as well as data on gender violence in the council and the devices for the Christmas campaign were launched.
First of all, the Government’s deputy delegate wanted to thank the security forces and bodies for their work and efforts to guarantee public safety. Emilio González stressed the importance of maintaining the excellent coordination between all the bodies, which resulted in the establishment of joint devices between Local Police, National Police and Autonomous Police and the high resolution of crimes that the municipality has.
In addition, the subdelegate highlighted Ourense as a "safe municipality" with one of the lowest crime rates in Galicia and transmitted a message of tranquility responding to the request of the municipal corporation reaching a protocol of action. Combat and prevent the trafficking, consumption and possession of drugs, as well as all types of violent behaviors.
The subdelegate stressed that during this course, most of the activities programmed in schools will be carried out, such as the informative talks of the specialized teams of the State Security Forces and Bodies on issues of school harassment, risks of new technologies and social networks, youth gangs and gender violence.
