Ourense, November 23, 2023.- The Subdelegate of the Government in Ourense, Emilio González, promotes the initiatives of the Government to "raise awareness, sensitize, educate, promote and disseminate in the field of cybersecurity in all sectors of society, especially among the most vulnerable and exposed public such as minors." This is what he said this morning during the inauguration of the roadshow "ExperienceINCIBE" that can be visited in the city of Ourense from this Thursday, November 23 to 25 and that launches the Ministry of Digital Transformation through the INCIBE National Security.
Emilio González highlights the “challenge of the Government with education and learning in a playful way against the threats posed by exposure to the Internet and to maintain security by increasing confidence in the 32,532 vulnerable devices that INCIBE has - reference entity for the development of cybersecurity and digital confidence among citizens -figure in Ourense and that in most cases is caused by a security problem".
During the next few days thousands of children , "digital natives" of the City of Ourense will be able to enjoy and learn through the rooms and escape rooms that will host the tent located in the Jardín do Posío and that will be open to all citizens in the afternoon. In this first day participated the students of the CEIP Amadeo Rodríguez Barroso, CEIP O Couto and Colexio Santa Teresa de Jésús.
Calls to 017, cybersecurity phone
The subdelegate of the Government made a "call to parents and ANPAS of Ourense to participate in this type of activities that will allow them to have access to information and help for the digital education of the youngest". Emilio González stressed that this is one of the main concerns that the technicians of INCIBE gather in the calls they receive to 017, the cybersecurity phone.
Among the different measures implemented by INCIBE is the cybersecurity phone in which inquiries related to minors focus, above all, on issues related to cyberbullying, sextortion, grooming, privacy, identity theft and the excessive use of ICT.
#EXPERIENCIAINCIBE
The INCIBE experience consists of a set of itinerant experiences that, for 3 years, will travel the Spanish geography in order to sensitize, raise awareness, educate, promote and spread cybersecurity among all users (citizens, SMEs, minors, country, mothers and educators).
The activity, led by INCIBE technicians, begins with the arrival of users in the outdoor space, where they will be presented; later, they will go through a gamification area, where they will put their knowledge into practice in an individual, virtual and fun way through training platforms, applications or online games and/or serious games.
Next, there will be an exhibition area where a trainer will give a talk and several monitors, workshops, and then end with an escape room that will be completed with the identification of the digital risks discussed above.
