Ourense, December 15, 2023.- The subdelegate of the Government in Ourense, Emilio González, presided this morning the first meeting of the jury to elect the winners of the 39th edition of the Constitution contest held by the Subdelegation of the Government in Ourense .
The subdelegate "valued the great reception that this year had the contest with more than 900 works presented" -667 of students of Early Childhood and Primary Education of public and private schools of the province and 245 students of ESO and Baccalaureate and the Faculty of Law of the University of Vigo Campus of Ourense. Emilio González highlighted the importance of this contest in educational values and in the knowledge and recognition of the constitutional text highlighting the video works presented in the new modality, which was included this year, and which encourages the youngest in the province to get involved and develop social actions and environmental awareness. Actions that highlight the commitment to equality, solidarity and social cohesion and the ecological transition of the Government and that emanate from the fundamental values of the Constitution.
The jury
The jury that met this morning in the Government Subdelegation to analyze all the works is chaired by the subdelegate and formed by Manuel Arias, Secretary General of the Government Subdelegation; Silvia Álvarez Nieto, as secretary of the jury; Tamara Silva Cid, Councilor for Education of the City of Ourense; Enrique Álvarez Roales, inspector of education; Marina Tallón and Manuel Pardo; and the filmmaker Simone Saibene.
Among the selection criteria that the jury took into account for the selection of the 20 winning works, 10 of each category highlight that the drawing or work presented conforms to the theme of the contest and that in its development it takes into account what The Constitution says more or less the same; as well as spelling correction and cleaning and care in its presentation.
Among the educational centers that delivered their works before last Friday, the date of completion of the participation in the contest, are the CEIP of Seixalbo, the CEIP Bibei of Viana do Bolo, the Center of Special Education O Pino, the CEIP Julio Gurriarán of O Barco, the CEIP of Os Blancas, the CRA Amencer of Ribadavia, and the Marist Schools, A Purísima, Mestre Vide, Padre Santo Feijóo Zorelle, Carmeliscanas, Franciscans, and Verulense.
The members of the jury will approve their resolution next Monday in a new meeting in the government subdelegation.
The prizes will be awarded during an institutional event, which will be held in the Municipal Auditorium of Ourense on December 6 at 12 noon. The same prize brings together the winners, participants, families and leaders of the institutional life of Ourense to commemorate once again the Day of the Constitution.
